Did you know that the month of September is National Peace Consciousness Month in the Philippines? September was declared such under Proclamation No.675 signed on 20 July 2004 by then President Gloria Macapaga-Arroyo. The Presidential Proclamation was issued to "instill greater consciousness and undertanding among the Filipino people on the comprehensive peace process to strengthen and sustain institutional and popular support for and participation in this effort, as well as in the global movement spearheaded by the United Nations to promote a Culture of peace based on nonviolence, respect for fundamental rights and freedoms, tolerance, understanding and solidarity. " September was chosen because several peace-building milestones happened during this month, like the signing of the 1996 Peace Agreement between the government and the MNLF on 2 September 1996, and the UN Declaration of 21 September as International Day of Peace. "For Bebengisms Birthday Cyber Party" , I am going to share five wonderful facts about my dynamic duo, Tato and Toti. First, like the generous September birthday celebrants, Queen Denise and Princess Sophia of the cyber palace Bebengisms , we also belong to a military family. Hubby is also an Army guy and raising kids in a sometimes single parenting set-up seems to be a roller coaster ride. But I can say that with our kids, everything is worthwhile. Both Tato and Toti loves to take a dip whether the bathroom balde, their inflatable pool, swimming pool or the sandy beach. There must be something in the water that freshens up their soul. Here they are in our last summer trip in Lian, Batangas. 2. They are always curious about art, animals and everything around them. ...
Browsed over this quotation and I agree, after a day's toil, my kids' laughter would always give me a reason to laugh as well. With all the ugliness that is out there, I am glad to see beauty from them. As much as I want them to be spared from all the "unnecessary hurts" I realize that they're men and these hurt would make them stronger and more humane as I have hoped in my older post . They will be head of the household soon and a little bit of everything is good for their bones. My bundles of joy (c.2008) Here they are now, as wonderful as ever (c.2013) As they grow, I continue to fall in love with them and I hope that this love that I have for them would help them survive the world out there with all its ugliness and beauty.
