Simple Prayer

I forgot where I got this prayer but I want to share it with those who had chanced upon my blog:

Thank you Lord for the gift of employment
May it bring me always gratitude and enjoyment
Deliver me everyday from mediocrity
Help me be excellent at every opportunity 
Bless me with wisdom, competence and genuine passion
But even more with patience, selflessness and compassion
Use me today as an instrument of unity and peace
Let love and friendship on my workplace increase
I offer up to You today all my plans and my labor
Prosper the work of my hands and bless me with Your favor.
Amen.

If you have noticed or if you haven't, our family's nom de guerre all starts with the letter "T". I think fate played on us when Toto met Tata, and so to make things more fun, we decided to call our first born "Tato", "Ta" from Tata and "-to" from Toto. When Toti came we did a little tweaking by adding "-ti" pero cute pa din naman. I remember one of our beautiful Ninang candidly suggested that we should stop giving nicknames to are kids starting with the letter "T", paano daw pag-naubos na ang mga letra and we'll end up with a baby nicknamed "Titi". It was well meant and taken, hopefully we will not arrived at that scenario :) So now that we have our third baby coming I am starting to think of a nickname, would the baby be a "Ta", a "To" or a "Ti"? Did you know that the month of September is National Peace Consciousness Month in the Philippines? September was declared such under Proclamation No.675 signed on 20 July 2004 by then President Gloria Macapaga-Arroyo. The Presidential Proclamation was issued to "instill greater consciousness and undertanding among the Filipino people on the comprehensive peace process to strengthen and sustain institutional and popular support for and participation in this effort, as well as in the global movement spearheaded by the United Nations to promote a Culture of peace based on nonviolence, respect for fundamental rights and freedoms, tolerance, understanding and solidarity.
